Laptop Choosing Guide

Image
Its time the Intel launched its 4th Generation core family processors and almost all manufacturers are using the latest processor to power their latest Laptops. Here lets share a light on what we look for our new laptop. So their is the myth that the latest Games runs only on latest processors. Thats not completely true as long as processor is concerned it plays an important role but it really doesn't matter as much as Graphics Processor. There are 2 graphics giants 1. Nvidia 2.AMD Radeon(Formly ATI Radeon) These 2 giants rule the graphics market but the use mainly constitute the user preferences. Almost all of the laptop manufacturers use both the graphics in their products ranging from low end devices to high end devices. Ofcourse we cannot forget INTEL who embeds the graphics into motherboard and acts as an inbuilt memory for graphics.                                                   Now it comes to RAM which is as good as it is more than enough. Generally the game

Nokia Normandy might be a low cost Android device

Image
According to a report in  The Verge , the  previously leaked , mysterious Nokia Normandy is an Android handset. Known internally under several  different codenames , the device is said to be developed as an equivalent to the low-cost Nokia Asha range. The Nokia Normandy allegedly runs heavily modified Android version – much like in the case of the Amazon Kindle Fire range. The OS will allow the handset to run popular Android apps, thus addressing a major shortcoming of the current Nokia Asha lineup. The Nokia Normandy development is described as going at “full steam ahead”. The handset is reportedly planned for a release in 2014. However, with Microsoft’s  acquisition  of Nokia's devices & services units all but completed, we are yet to find out what the Redmond giant’s plans for the Normandy are. In my personal opinion the Finnish giant would have been better with Android than WP..but ofcourse it should have continued the SYMBIAN lineup. Source

Sony Xperia Z1S photographed in the wild

Image
The Sony Xperia Z1S has leaked yet again. This time we got live photos and some early impressions of the device. The Xperia Z1S was photographed next to a ruler, which seems to confirm the rumored measurements of 127 x 64.9mm. The device also reports a model number D5503, which matches the one found in the EXIF info  from the leaked photo  yesterday. Other than that, the Sony Xperia Z1S in the photo differs slightly from the  leaked press image , specifically in the front-facing camera and the 3.5mm audio jack. The tipster that took the photo reported that almost everything worked smoothly except for the occasional hiccup in the launcher (but this is early pre-release software). The design was praised, though the volume rocker and the flap that covers the microUSB port (that's for the IP58 water-resistant specification) were criticized. The side of the phone has two pogo pins (visible in the fourth photo below) for charging via a dock, similar to those on the Xperia Z

Nokia Lumia 800 works after being lost underwater for 3.5 months

Image
Quite an amazing story coming out of Sweden today. A  Nokia Lumia 800  smartphone was found after spending 3.5 months in a lake and it was still working!! Is not it amazing !!!Nokia Strikes back after Nokia 3310. The news comes by way of Facebook user Roger Nilsson who even captured some pictures of the device in question. The phone was allegedly found more than three months after being lost in a lake, wedged between two rocks at low tide. The screen was covered in shells and algae. Mr. Nilsson cleaned then dried the phone for an indeterminate period of time, at which point he charged it and found that it works. He claims that there’s no issues with the device, and that the battery lasts for about two days as before. If the story is true, then it’s quite an impressive feat for a device that’s not even rated for underwater resistance. With many manufacturers –  among them Samsung  – rumored to be incorporating water and dust resistance into future flagships, we’re curious to

LG G Flex with curved OLED display goes official in Korea

Image
LG finally officially announced the G Flex smartphone with curved display in Korea. The Android handset will hit all three major carriers in its homeland next month, where it will square off against the  Samsung Galaxy Round . It has a massive 6” 720p OLED unit whose IMAX cinema-like horizontal curve in landscape mode will allow for an  immersive experience when watching videos or playing video games. But from my personal view we dont know how hard it will be to play games in a flexible display unit.. Another peculiar talent featured by the device is self-healing film on its back which can deal with minor scratches in a matter of minutes. LG compares the trick to the self-healing ability of the Wolverine character from the X-Men. The LG G Flex is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC with 2.26GHz quad-core CPU. The rest of the specs include 2GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in memory, microSD card slot, and 13MP camera. The smartphone packs full connectivity suite, inclu

Image
Samsung has scored yet another Guinness record, creating the world’s largest photobook. The previous record for the largest photobook involved 10,000 images, but the global market leaders managed to better it with 28,000 stills. After the launch of the Galaxy S4 Zoom in Germany, Samsung began a Facebook campaign where the everyone was encouraged to submit up to 10 photos. In a promotional campaign that lasted for 10 days, Sammy managed to attract 36,000 images out of which 28,000 were chosen to be printed in a  5m x 8m, 16 page album. The huge photobook was displayed in the Berlin Museum for Communication before the art made its formal entry to the Guinness World records on September 7. Source / Via

Image
Samsung's 64-bit processor is in  the final stages of its development, they are again stating the company is "almost done". The report suggests that Samsung is done with the most complex tasks of the development process and is now dealing with technicalities and logistics. The Korean  ittoday.co.kr  hasn't specified if the chip is already undergoing sampling, but that should start soon if it hasn't already. The chips is among the  first of multiple 64-bit  processors to find its place in the upcoming 2014 lineup of flagships.
