Sony Honami press shot leaks, to be called Xperia Z1 or Z One

Image
Sony's frequently leaked cameraphone codenamed Honami could be officially named Xperia Z1 or Z One like HTC One. The rumor comes from a recognized XDA-Developers user, who has provided some leaks regarding past Xperia devices. Additionally, a few press shots of the Xperia Z1 popped in today, but they are sadly rather low in resolution. The renders reveal that the phone is going to be available in three colors - white, black and purple. The other thing they portrays is the glass back of the phone, reminiscent of the original Xperia Z. the Xperia Z1 (Honami) packs the powerful Snapdragon 800 chipset with Adreno 330 GPU and quad-core Krait 400 CPU. It runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Sony's Xperia UI on top. As with many of the Sony high-end smartphones for 2013, the Xperia Z1 (Honami) is also expected to be water resistant. The smartphone's key selling point is its 20.7MP camera, rumored to support 4K video recording and backed up by a Xenon and LED flash combo.

Sony Might Reveal Honami and Lens Cameras on 4th September

Image
Sony might release their much awaited Sony Honami handset along with their latest camera lenses. Coming straight from trusted inside sources speaking with   Sony Alpha Rumors  is the tip that the smartphone and both Lens Cameras (revealed in bits yesterday) would be pushed on the 4th of September, right on top of Berlin-based  IFA 2013 . Also revealed at said event will be a set of new Sony action cameras. This suggestion is placed between several other Sony camera devices and accessories, each of them tipped by the same source. Between here and the end of the month, Sony is said to be bringing on the NEX-5t, a new 16-70mm E-mount lens, and a third product to round out an announcement set. Newest Sony 4K technology Tv

Image
Amidst much fanfare, Sony has launched "more affordable" X9004 series 4K TV's in India among their updated Bravia W series lineup. What are 4k TV's you ask? Well they are TV's with an incredibly high resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, much higher than the current popular Full HD TV's with a resolution of 1980 x 1080 pixels. The 4K moniker actually refers to the horizontal resolution only which is around 4000 pixels. Therefore the 4K Ultra HD (UHD) has twice the horizontal and vertical resolution of the 1080p HDTV format, with four times as many pixels overall. Did you know – There exists an 8K UHD format too which is 7680 pixels × 4320 pixels. The 4K LED TV's use TRILUMINOS LED backlighting and QD Vision's Color IQ to present "rich, authentic colour with subtle tones while also replicating bold colours including hard-to-produce red and greens". All this means is that the TV's have the ability to produce good colour, where the c

New Playstation 3 launched

Image
Sony has launched the 12GB model of the PlayStation 3 in the US and Canada. The model has been available internationally for some time n ow but is only being introduced in North America now. The 12GB model is priced at $199.99 and is available through Best Buy. Unlike the more capacious models, the 12GB model uses flash drive, although you can still install a hard drive to expand the storage. On paper the 12GB capacity seems quite low but if you don’t download a lot of games and media from the PlayStation Store or maybe if you need it primarily for watching Blu-ray movies or if you’re simply strapped for cash, then this should be an ideal option. Beats Audio looking to buy HTC's share in the company

Image
It seems the HTC and Beats Audio partnership will soon be coming to an end. According to the sources at The Wall Street Journal, Beats Audio is thinking of breaking up with its Taiwanese partner by purchasing the latter's stake in the company. HTC currently has 25 percent stake in Beats Audio, which Beats is considering acquiring. Secondly, Beats is also in talks with another investor that can rescue the company from its financial troubles by providing debt financing and possibly take a minority ownership in the company in future. This means that HTC might soon be losing one of the key features it uses to market its phones. While the jury is still out on the actual desirability of this feature, it did form a major part of the phones' branding. On the other hand, those who disliked this feature now have a reason to rejoice. Via Source
