Xiaomi A1 Getting Android O 8.0

Xiaomi A1 is first Adroid One phone from Chinese Company Xiomi Inc. Android One is known for faster updates and clean stock android experience. But this time it took  a little time for the company to push the update  to 8.0. 


The version rolling is 7.12.29 for Xiaomi Mi A1. The update brings December Security Patch.

Nokia Lumia 800 works after being lost underwater for 3.5 months

Quite an amazing story coming out of Sweden today. A  Nokia Lumia 800  smartphone was found after spending 3.5 months in a lake and it was still working!! Is not it amazing !!!Nokia Strikes back after Nokia 3310. The news comes by way of Facebook user Roger Nilsson who even captured some pictures of the device in question. The phone was allegedly found more than three months after being lost in a lake, wedged between two rocks at low tide. The screen was covered in shells and algae. Mr. Nilsson cleaned then dried the phone for an indeterminate period of time, at which point he charged it and found that it works. He claims that there’s no issues with the device, and that the battery lasts for about two days as before. If the story is true, then it’s quite an impressive feat for a device that’s not even rated for underwater resistance. New Nokia 515 announced

Nokia just announced the 515 - a featurephone that goes directly after many high-end smartphones in terms of design and build quality. Its body is carved out of a single piece of anodized and sandblasted aluminum, the screen is made out of gently-curved and polarized Gorilla Glass 2 and the keyboard is built from hardened polycarbonate resin. The Nokia 515 sports a 2.4" QVGA display, has a 5 MP camera with voice-activated self portraits, there's a microSD card slot with support for up to 32GB cards. Although available in single-SIM there's also a dual-SIM option while the battery is taunted to last a whopping 38 days of stand-by with a single SIM inside. The Nokia 515 starts to roll out globally in September, starting in Russia, Germany, Switzerland and Poland. It will have a suggested retail price of 149 USD / 115 EUR before taxes and subsidies.

Apple to have negative income growth for the first time since 2003

Every single analyst that took part in the survey believes Apple will report a lower income for Q2, 2013 (ending in March – the company has a shifted fiscal year) compared to the same period last year. Analyst company  Thomson Financial  estimates Apple’s earnings per share (EPS) for the fiscal second quarter will stand at $10.18, compared to $12.30 in Q2 2012. However, investors needn’t worry as Apple is hardly going down. The company has said in its quarterly guidance it expects its quarter revenue to be between $41 and $43 billion. What analysts are on about is something called “gross margins” or how efficiently a company transforms revenue into profits. Apple’s gross margin for last year was at its highest ever at 47.37%, while this year the company is projecting it to be down nearly 10 percent points to 37.5%.
